Midwest Youth Cup ~ Championships!
This season CXC began the Midwest Youth Cup ~ http://www.cxcskiing.org/pages/events/cxc-youth-cup.html
This past weekend was the final three days of racing held at Theo Wirth Park in Minneapolis & run by the Loppet Nordic Foundation ( http://www.loppet.org/ ) Youth from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ontario & Manitoba arrived and raced. Great Classic races & Skate races were held on Saturday & Sunday. It was a weekend with over 300 of the top Youth (U16/U14/U12) Nordic racers in the Midwest, Racing, Playing & having FUN!
It was also great to have 2 local youth placing well in the top results of the U12 Boys category:
Per Hanson ~ 8th
Forest Grenier ~ 15th

CXC Bring Skis to Midwest Youth!
The Rice Lake School Districts Tainter Elementary & Birchwood School District were recently selected as a CXC “Nordic Rocks” school — Two of 30 schools to introduce elementary aged children to cross country skiing this winter season. PLEASE help the program to continue to grow in Midwest schools: DONATE today and help CXC match the current grant funding. Proud to be supporting CXC and their mission with Youth & Masters to GROW the sport of Nordic in the Central Region.

CXC’s Igor Legacy Camp~ Huge Sucess!
Over 50 under 14 years old skiers from all around WI and MN at the Igor’s Legacy Camp in Iola, WI. All kids and coaches are camping at the Iola Winter Sports Club.
