2026 Recap – Thus far……

Wow, today it is already MAY 1st! The First official day of the 2026-27 Season. We are not exactly sure where the last FOUR months went, but we just thought we’d give a little bit of a recap.

January: Well the NEW year started off with a bang! The US National Championships in Lake Placid. This event was the last opportunity for American Athletes to qualify for the 2026 Olympics. (Click on the link for a full event recap) Once we returned to Wisconsin, things were heating up back in the Midwest Ski scene. Snow was on the ground, trails were groomed and things were happening. It was great to see so many folks around the shop after two low snow seasons (23/24 & 24/25) As the month continued the shop was busy, and service was ramping up. With a couple additional Junior National Qualifiers and the start of the MN High School Championship season.

February: As this month started, we took off on a nearly 8 week run of service covering over 6000 miles. Things began with the MN High School Championship season, to the US Super Tour in Minneapolis and then back to the shop for the 2026 American Birkie Week. It was great to see so many folks in the shop the week of the Birkie, great visits, stories and so much more.

March: The Month of Opportunity. This year we had the opportunity to provide race service at the highest level. For the first weeks of March we were in Lake Placid providing service at the IBU Cup for Kastle. We then got to return to the Midwest to provide race service for The High Plains region at the US Junior National Championships in Cable WI.  After a great week with over 20 athletes, we found the energy to make our way back to Lake Placid for the FIS World Cup Finals! Kris and I had the chance to work with the head of World Cup Service for Kastle for the week, providing service to the contracted Kastle Athletes racing at the World Cup.

April: Upon our return we needed to get caught up on our 25/26 Season wrap ups. From Inventory, to Team wrap ups, Ski Fleet evaluations, to Volunteer time at local trails it was a great, but busy month.
