Summer Training Opportunites
We know it is still March but the plans for Summer are in the making. Out There, CXC, 4591 & others are launching their summer Training programs for the 17/18 Season. Here are some links for you to be able to get signed up.
Out There Nordic:
– Go Gumby! Green Mountain Valley School GMVS Camp
This is a unique opportunity for any athlete from 8th grade to Post grad. Travel with Coach Kris & another coach to Vermont at the end of July for a week long camp in the Mountains of Northern Vermont. The camp is hosted by GMVS Nordic Director Colin Rodgers (Past head coach for the Sun Valley Gold Team) & Head Coach Kat Howe (Team Out There Athlete & Former Biathlete) Get a super great coaching staff in a great location. This event is limited to 6 athletes so sign up soon. Costs are all inclusive.

4591 Sports Development
4591 is a New organization in Northern Wisconsin working to develop programming for Silent Sports. As a USSA & CXC Club they support the National Development Pipeline. This past season they began with some limited options for Jr’s & Masters on snow and now are rolling out their TRAIL KIDS, Junior & Master’s programming for the 17 summer season.
*TRAIL KIDS this is the 2nd summer session of the TRAIL KIDS program. This year it will be offered in a block format incorporating Trail Running/ Orienteering, Mountain Biking & Paddling. This program is offered to Youth 8-14
*Juniors this will be the first summer session of the 4591 Nordic Junior programming. There will be 2 weekend camps along with a n 8 week summer training block. Open to athlete U12-U18
*Masters this will be the first summer session of the 4591 Nordic Masters program. The intent of this program it to get adults looking at incoporating some off-season training to be ready for the ski season. This year there will be 4 summer sessions. An Intro Night will be held on May 17th

CXC
Central Cross Country (CXC) Continues to raise the bar on their offerings for training. This year again they will be holding the Igor Camp Series with Coaches Bruce Manske & our own Coach Kris.

Junior Development Program this awesome program is headed up by Coach Karmen Whitham. Coach Karmen works to take U16-U20 athletes to a new level in their training. Along with a Year Round Program the JDP also offers U16 & Open Camps ding the summer, fall & on-snow seasons

Masters this Adult Training program incorpoates local chapters, camps, the CXC Academy & more to give adults wanting to up their game in skiing a full well rounded training system. This will be the 5th season that we at Out There Nordic will be the hosts to a CXC Masters Chapter. With skiers from Eau Claire to Minneapolis and Wausau to Hayward traveling to Rice Lake each month to get great coaching from Level 200 USSA & CXC coaches. Each season the numbers grow and we look forward to another GREAT season Out There
