Igor Legacy Camps (ages 10-13)

 Supported by Central Cross Country Ski Association (CXC) and Wisconsin Nordic Development Group (WNDG)

The goals of the Igor Legacy Camps are designed to promote the growth and development of Junior Cross Country Ski racers and to expose young athletes to the fundamental building blocks required for high-level cross country ski racing.

Camp activities will include dry-land training, roller skiing, and cross training activities. The intention of each camp to inspire and excite youth in Igor Badamshin‘s
honor because his positive and playful approach
to coaching has touched and inspired skiers of all ages.

WISCONSIN June 19-21, 2015 / Iola Winter Sports Complex
MINNESOTA July 24-26,2015 / Lake Bemidji State Park
MICHIGAN August 7-9, 2015 / Wolverine Nordic Village

The coaching staff for the 2015 Igor Legacy Camps will include Nordic ski coaches, sports trainers, equipment representatives, and advisors from across the Midwest, including CXC, Loppet Nordic Racing, Endurance United, and Copper Country Ski Tigers. Other team and club coaches with athletes attending the Igor Legacy Camps are invited to assist staff coaches throughout each camp.
What:
Igor Legacy Camps: three different Nordic ski camps, for athletes U12 (ages 10-11) and U14 (ages 12-13) interested in the sport of cross country skiing. ALL CAMPS CAPPED AT 50 PARTICIPANTS.
Focus:
Each camp will include the same focus points: athletic movements for speed, balance, agility, strength, mobility, and power; including, dryland training, roller skiing (helmets mandatory); hiking, soccer, Tug-of-War, Pillo Polo, Capture the Flag, Ultimate Frisbee, and much more.
Cost:
$75.00 per athlete; $65.00 per athlete with an active participating coach or parent
